Subs for lunch?

Today took me to Casper for a very LONG day

of training. When lunch rolled around we were expecting

Subway but got Pizza instead.

No problems there. It was a yummm

In the mood...

Have you ever wanted to fix a big dinner because you are in the mood? 

Well, that was me today. 

I blame it on the bird, after all 'The Bird Is The Word.'  

The turkey entered the oven at 8 am, 

the herded potatoes were in the crock pot by 8:15am,

the bread was together by 8:30am. 

By the time 1pm rolled around the turkey, potatoes, and bread were done. 

So, it was time for the citrus gravy. This was a YUMMM.  

My boyfriend drove up from Ft Collins to enjoy this delicious dinner 

as well as, 

one of my oldest daughter's friends. 

And for dessert Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting from Ft Collins.

Birthday Breakfast

The Birthday party is vastly coming to an end. (Thankfully)

After a crazy night I woke up to make a yummy breakfast. 

Talk about multi-tasking.

 While the dough was raising I had to pick to kids

up from another sleepover.

Then it was onto the bacon;

While the bacon was frying, I added the sugar & spice to the rolls.

While the rolls were baking I the eggs were cooking.

Amoungst all of this I was able to sip a cup of coffee. 

Did you notice I said 'sip'?

'Tis New

Of course, when you think of pizza the first thing that comes to mind is Pepperoni and cheese, right?

Last night was a bit different. Yes, it was pizza but not pepperoni.  WHAT? No pepperoni!

Dinner last night was at Uncle Vito's Too in Ft Collins.  Tia “ohhh” Mia  No pizza sauce just mushrooms,  spinach and feta cheese. Yumm.

A bit odd

Tonight was nothing new just an odd combination. 

Pizza rolls and for dessert, birthday cupcake.

I found this pasta the other day at the store. Ronzoni-Garden Delight pasta.  

Yum served with a light olive oil/herbs and garlic bread. 

Of course the kids had to have traditional spaghetti sauce. Leave it up to them not to try something new. Anyhow, they got a full serving of vegetables.

Yes, it's a week early for a Sweet Sixteen day, but

it was all good.

Breakfast for Dinner

I came home from work today and bacon sounded really good. So, after cooking it up I was thinking.... 'What should I fix to go with this?' 

  This breakfast dish was made Christmas morning by someone who is very important to me

 and it was very, as my daughter would say, 'beautimis'. 

So dinner tonight is the beautimis dish from Christmas morning.  YUM

Meatloafness!

Leave it up to my almost 16 year old to come up with a new phrase.

She asked me what dinner was tonight, and I stated Meatloaf.

Her reply was, 'the house has that wonderful meatloafness smell.'

Cody's Choice

My children came home early today unexpectedly and I had nothing out for dinner. So, I texted my son and asked him what dinner should be.  He replied back with a simple short answer, 'Steak'. Awesome taste he has.  When I arrived home, I cut the onions, mushrooms, and preserved oranges; followed by a slow saute in butter.  The steak I put on the indoor grill. And what would make a simple side dish but french fries.

Need I say YUM!

Thursday, already?

Not much for dinner for me tonight.

 Not that hungry I suppose.

As for the rest of the family? 

They fixed their own with Ramen noodles

It's Wednesday.

Dinner tonight is different. 

Defiantly a kid friendly dinner.

Pepperoni pizza and hot wings.

Hey, it works when there is church stuff to do in

less than 20 minutes.

Tuesday's Meal

What else does a person do with a left-overs from a turkey? Hmmm, I was a bit creative making a hot turkey sandwich.  Saute portabella mushrooms and onions in butter. After a couple minutes some turkey drippings were added with milk. Then a total yumm.

Monday Dinner

Ok, so it's Monday and generally a person wouldn't think of fixing a turkey after the holidays, right? Not me this bird was staring at me in the fridge say quietly 'dinner, dinner, dinner.' So, I listened it's dinner.  Roasted Citris Turkey, salad, and rice.  To finish everything off birthday cake.

Tomorrow's dinner who knows.. you have to visit again.
