Tuesday Night Dinner and a Movie

Tuesday night was in Fort Collins with Pat. He just got done making
a fresh loaf of bread.
What a better way to top it than with bruschetta made
with fresh vegi's.

To go along with this yummy dinner than a
movie and a glass of white wine.

Oh, what movie?

So Simple. No recipe required.

It's amazing to see some of the recipes that pop up. The one dish I find so simple it could be put into a recipe for dummies book.  Oh, wait... There is one already.  Really?

All I needed for dinner were a few simple items:
Tomato, basil, mozzarella, bread, and a vinaigrette dressing.

A bit of cutting was involved
And just look what dinner is...

Nothing hard about it.

Let the games begin.

Tonight the XXXth Olympic Games
are in London.
What better to watch the games than
with a very traditional London dinner.

Fish and Chips.
served on my IKEA plate

Oh, can't forget the coca cola.

A Taste of Cheyenne

This last weekend Cheyenne Frontier Days kicked off.
I had the pleasure of kinda being a tour guide. (showing Pat around Cheyenne)

Part of the tour was the Historic Governors Mansion
I love the kitchen

For lunch we headed to the Luxery Diner.
 The small dining area ran
as a trolley from 1896 to 1912
before becoming a diner in 1926.

We both had the Chili Cheeseburger.
of course my favorite word is
YUMMM

What does Feasting in Fort Collins think? 5 stars!

Down by the Bayou, in Cheyenne?

If you have never been to Louisiana or even if you have, Cheyenne has a great place to bring back some memories of the food. The kids and I celebrated my new job and went some place completely new. Judi's Cajun Kitchen opened their doors June (last month).  What do they serve? Authentic Cajun and Southern Creole.
So, what was on the menu that the kids and I tried?
My son and I shared the Stewed Chicken. This was served with rice, vegetables, and a sweet corn bread muffin.

My daughter had chicken strips and sweet potato fries.
For dessert I ordered Pralines

 What did the kid's think?

Neighborhood food and fun

Tonight was something fun the kids and I did. And yes, it did involve dinner.
Hot Dogs and Subs.
This was the 3rd annual Cheyenne Neighborhood Night Out.
Like a meet and greet with people in your neighborhood.

Asian Anyone

Tonight, I fixed something that is better than
an oriental restaurant would have. (or at least I think so)
Spring Rolls (fried in rice paper)

Serviced with an Asian sauce and rice.
With an apricot

And to go with dinner we watched
Mulan.

What a perfect Asian Night.
